Northern Ireland fans, players and officials will pay tribute to former skipper Alan McDonald before the friendly match against Finland.
McDonald, who also captained Queens Park Rangers, died suddenly on 23 June.
The Irish FA said Alan's son and brother would lead out the teams before Wednesday's match at Windsor Park.
"We hope to play the famous interview Alan gave after the 1985 World Cup qualifier against England over the PA system," said the IFA's Geoff Wilson.
"Members of Alan's family will be on the pitch and there is a dedicated section in the match programme with various tributes.
"It will be emotional but we have spoken to a lot of supporters' clubs and they all want to pay their respects."
McDonald, who managed Glentoran when they won the Irish League championship in 2009, won 52 international caps during a successful playing career in England.
He made more than 400 appearances for London club QPR and also had spells with Charlton, on loan, and Swindon Town.
