Real Ramos on Chelsea Radar

Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the growing rift between Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid, as they prepare a January bid for the defender.

Ramos has fallen out with boss Jose Mourinho after he was dropped him for their Champions League clash against Manchester City on Tuesday.

If the pair are unable to mend their broken relationship - the Madrid may offload the 26-year-old at the earliest opportunity, according to reports in Madrid.

Chelsea had been keen to bring in a defender over the summer but failed in their attempt to land Inter Milan star Maicon, who eventually joined City.

Roberto Di Matteo is keen to strengthen his side’s defence after they threw away a two-goal lead against Juventus on Wednesday.

The ability of Ramos to play both in the middle and at right-back makes him an attractive target.

The current crisis is not the first time the Spain international has clashed with Mourinho.

The former Chelsea boss was also upset at Ramos’s post-match comments following a cup defeat to Barcelona in January.
