Punchestown Passes Inspection

The final day of the Punchestown Festival will take place as planned this afternoon after the course passed a morning inspection.

Racing manager Richie Galway declared conditions to be perfectly raceable after looking at the track on Saturday morning.

The six-race meeting, which features the thetote.com Punchestown Gold Cup, postponed from Wednesday, gets under way at 1440 BST.

The going at the course remains heavy.

Today's meeting at Ripon also goes ahead following a morning inspection.
