Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho does not fear he will be sacked even if they fail to qualify for the last eight of the UEFA Champions League.
The Spanish leaders take on CSKA Moscow on Wednesday with the tie delicately poised following a 1-1 first leg draw in Russia.
The pressure is on Mourinho to deliver European success having won the prestigious trophy with Inter Milan in 2010 following a 2-0 success over Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid are currently ten points clear of Barcelona in the race for the Liga title and Mourinho, who has been linked with a summer return to Chelsea, does not think failure against CSKA will affect his position.
"My future won't be decided by Wednesday's result, unless the club fire me if we don't qualify," said Mourinho. "But from my point of view it (result) won't change a thing.
"The first leg was a complicated result which leaves things quite open. Looking to tomorrow I'm more afraid of the game, which can produce all sorts of surprises."
Mourinho will not be underestimating CSKA having tackled the Russian club during his reign at Chelsea, a 3-0 aggregate success in the 2004/05 campaign.
"They come at you quickly, are quick on the counter-attack and are strong in defence. But I think we have the tools to overcome them."
"We will play with three forwards. If we can feel our fans behind us, it will be a great help. Surprises happen in football and sometimes the best team doesn't win. We have good reason to believe we are in for a difficult match."
"They are a strong team and know how to defend. I took on CSKA with Inter [winning 1-0 home and away in 2009/10] and Chelsea [winning 2-0 and 0-1 in 2004/05], so I know what tough opponents they are."
"Everyone has to do his best for the team. If CSKA win, it won't be a miracle; if they win it's because they played very well and we played very badly. I prefer to be optimistic and think we are going to win. This Madrid team has played 19 UEFA Champions League matches in the last two years and only lost once. The team is afraid of nothing."
