Hatton Seeking Dream Title

Matthew Hatton will be looking to get his dream of winning a world title back on track by defeating Kell Brook in their welterweight showdown on Saturday.

The unbeaten Brook has been hailed as a future star and is expected to challenge for a world title if he sees off Hatton in front of his hometown fans at Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

But 30-year-old Hatton is determined to rip up Brook's plans and stake his own claims for another title shot, having failed to claim the WBC belt at light-middleweight last year.

"This is a massive fight for me," Hatton told Sky Sports News.

"I'm proud of what I've achieved in my career so far - winning the European title and challenging for a world title - but it's my ambition to become a world champion.
Dream

"I know that to make that dream come true I have to beat Kell on Saturday."

He added: "Kell is highly-ranked with all the governing bodies, as I am myself. I'm confident the winner of this fight will get a world title fight, what more motivation do you need?"

Hatton also believes all the pressure is on Brook ahead of the bout, with the Sheffield fighter being touted as a big favourite to take the victory.

"He's a very talented fighter," Hatton told the Manchester Evening News. "But I do think people are getting a little bit carried away.

"If he goes out there and beats me, I will be the first to shake his hand and say he's going to go on to do some great things, but I really don't see that happening.

"A lot of pressure has been put on him. It is my intention to go in there and burst his bubble."
