Babel joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim from Liverpool in January 2011 on a two-and-a-half-year contract in a deal reportedly worth around £6 million.
But the club have struggled this campaign, with their 7-1 loss at Bayern Munich last weekend making it just one victory in nine attempts.
Hoffenheim currently occupy 12th in the table and Babel, who has scored just four league goals this season, has revealed he is concerned by their increasing plight.
The Netherlands international told Sport1: "At the moment, we are playing football like we are confused. Personally, I have managed to improve since being at this club.
"But when you are playing for a team that has some problems, then it is tough to generally impress individually.
"Football is a fast moving business. It is possible that I may play for some other team in the future. I am hoping to see us achieve our goals here. If not, I have to very much consider my career."
