Captain Robbie Keane has been passed fit for the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier in the Faroe Islands on Tuesday.
The news is a welcome bit of good news for manager Giovanni Trapattoni, whose side were thrashed 6-1 at home by Germany last Friday.
Keane missed that match with an Achilles injury but the 32-year-old LA Galaxy forward was able to train with the team on Sunday morning and is in the squad which left for Torshavn.
But his fellow forward Andy Keogh, who scored Ireland's consolation goal on Friday, was not on the flight after suffering a head injury in training.
A spokesman for the Football Association of Ireland said on Sunday afternoon: "Following training this morning in Gannon Park, Robbie Keane has been ruled fit to travel with the squad for Tuesday's match against the Faroe Islands.
"Andy Keogh suffered a knock to the head in training on Saturday. He was observed overnight by the FAI medical team and has been ruled unfit to travel due to mild concussion."
