Eddie O'Sullivan Joins Ulster Race

Eddie O'Sullivan has hinted that he is interested in succeeding Brian McLaughlin as Ulster coach.

Ulster have decided not to extend McLaughlin's contract beyond this season and ex-Ireland coach O'Sullivan has signalled his interest in the post.

"I'm in the market for a job. We'll see what happens," O'Sullivan told BBC Sport when asked about the Ulster job.

O'Sullivan was speaking before working for BBC Northern Ireland at the Pro12 game between Ulster and the Ospreys.

The former Ireland coach added:"No one knows where this will lead".

O'Sullivan is also thought to have applied to become England coach.

Ex-Italy and Japan coach John Kirwan and former Ulster player Matt Sexton are among those who have been linked with the impending Ulster vacancy.
