Mansfield CEO Still Arrested

The chief executive of non-league Mansfield, Carolyn Still, was held for using threatening words and behaviour during Mansfield Town's Blue Square Bet Premier play-off semi-final against York City on Wednesday night.

It is understood she received a caution for her behaviour in Grosvenor Terrace, next to York's Bootham Crescent stadium.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: 'A 29-year-old woman from Retford was arrested at 9pm on Wednesday 2 May 2012, on Grosvenor Terrace, York, for using threatening words and behaviour. She was given an adult caution before being released.'

During the eventful game Mansfield, who had a player sent off, survived to hold York to a 1-1 draw.

Mansfield Town have declined to comment.

Politics graduate Still is the youngest CEO in English football. On her arrival last year, she said: 'It's a great privilege for me to be offered the chance to lead this football club. I intend to add vibrancy and fresh ideas to our approach off the field.

'Having attended numerous fundraising events, organised by the club's supporters groups, I am well aware of the passion and enthusiasm that the fans have to see the Stags succeed.

'I want to wake sleeping fans with a lot of different initiatives by liaising with them and finding what they want. Much work has been done to develop relationships with key businesses in and around Mansfield."

Helicopter Airlift Harriers Player

An air ambulance landed on the pitch at the Kidderminster Harriers' ground to pick up an injured player.

Harriers' player Anthony Malbon, 20, underwent nine minutes of treatment before being stretchered off.

Fans had to leave the Aggborough ground to allow the helicopter to pick up the striker, during the Blue Square Premier League game against Mansfield Town.

It prompted the referee to blow the final whistle during injury time, leaving the Harriers with a 3-0 defeat.

Dr Phillip Earl, the club's doctor, said: "[Malbon] suffered a significant blow to his head and neck and was unconscious for a couple of minutes.

"He's still suffering from quite a significant amount of pain in the right side of his neck and a splitting headache so we thought the best thing was to get him to hospital."

The air ambulance took the player to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Kidderminster Harriers needed to win the game to keep alive any hopes of reaching the play-offs in the league.

Their defeat means they finish in sixth place for the second season running.
