Republic of Ireland winger Aiden McGeady is pleased to be hitting form ahead of Euro 2012.
The Spartak Moscow winger has sometimes been criticised for a perceived complacency at international level and his place is under threat from James McClean.
But McGeady was excellent in Ireland's recent friendly win over Bosnia and wants more of the same against Hungary on Monday night.
"I was delighted after coming on after 45 minutes against Bosnia and having a good impact on the game and creating chances," said McGeady in the Daily Mirror.
"It's always what you want to do. I couldn't be more pleased."
Meanwhile, manager Giovanni Trapattoni is hoping assistant boss Marco Tardelli's Euro 2012 dream comes true.
World Cup winner Tardelli told an audience in Montecatini on Saturday night, with tongue slightly in cheek, he thought Ireland would draw with Croatia in their opening Group C fixture next Sunday and then beat both reigning champions Spain and his native Italy to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Trapattoni was not so forthright in his own assessment of the group, but admitted he would be happy if the scenario Tardelli envisages comes to fruition.
The 73-year-old said: "Marco is full of enthusiasm and dreams.
"But sometimes dreams come true. It is important we start with the first 90 minutes. After that, we can dream of continuing this way."
