Inter Confirm Stramaccioni

Inter Milan have confirmed that coach Andrea Stramaccioni has signed a three-year contract.

Stramaccioni, 36, had been in charge of the club's Under-19 side but was appointed Claudio Ranieri's successor in March and helped to steady the club after a tumultuous season.

Club president Massimo Moratti had signalled his intention to retain Stramaccioni and last week it was announced that an agreement was in place for a contract until 2015.

The contract has now been made official after it was confirmed that he would take part in the next UEFA Pro Licence course, which is a necessity for coaches in Serie A.

A statement on Inter's official website on Monday read: "Following the announcement made by FIGC's Technical Sector confirming Andrea Stramaccioni's place on the 'Allenatori Professionisti di Prima categoria - UEFA PRO' course to be held in Coverciano between October 2012 and May 2013, FC Internazionale has now finalised the paperwork relating to the coach's three-year deal with the club.

"Stramaccioni's contract, which runs until 30 June 2015, was taken to the Lega Serie A offices today."

Speaking about Stramaccioni, Moratti told Corriere dello Sport: "He is young and talented, I feel it is right that he has the way and the time to be able to organise his job.

"We believe in him, we want him to build the future of Inter and this contract, in my opinion, is the right way to give him a sense of confidence from our part.''
