Guardiola Makes London Plans

Barcelona plan an extended four-day break in London across their Champions League semi-final clash with Chelsea and the Spanish league title showdown with Real Madrid this month.

Pep Guardiola's side face a definitive seven days with a UEFA Champions League semi-final against the Blues at Stamford Bridge followed by the Nou Camp return La Liga clash with Joe Mourinho's Madrid side - who are favourites to lift the Spanish championship.

Barca will train on home soil on the Monday before heading to London where they will remain until Thursday before returning to Catalunya for Saturday's crunch match with Real.

The delayed return is being used to shield the players from the build-up to El Clasico and to impress on the players that Chelsea should not be underestimated.

'Chelsea, can knock us out seƱores,' Guardiola warned ahead of the game with Getafe – in response to Jose Mourinho's comments that Barcelona were already in the final.
