Manchester City face another Portuguese test as they take on Sporting away from home in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie.
Roberto Mancini's men ran out convincing 6-1 aggregate winners over defending champions Porto in the previous round, although the clash at the Estadio do Dragao was very keenly contested as City came from behind to prevail 2-1, before running riot at the Etihad Stadium a week later.
City will now be looking to build a commanding position in Lisbon to take back home next Thursday, having made it clear they want to go all the way and win the trophy.
The challenge for a first Premier League title continues on Sunday against Swansea and Mancini may decide to make a number of changes to keep as many players fresh as possible for the run-in, but he has such a wealth of options at his disposal that he still has the luxury of being able to send out a strong starting XI.
One player he will not be able to call on is Yaya Toure, though, with the midfielder ruled out of the first leg through suspension.
Defender Pablo Zabaleta (hamstring) is also out but Micah Richards, who missed the weekend win over Bolton with a knock suffered on international duty, trained on Wednesday and could be fit to replace him.
Striker Carlos Tevez, who is back in training and scored for the reserves earlier this week, is not registered to play in the competition and nor is midfielder Owen Hargreaves.
Mario Balotelli is in the squad despite being fined for breaking a club curfew, having been pictured leaving a strip club less than 48 hours before the game against Bolton.
While Saturday's victory over the Trotters kept up City's fine run of form, Sporting have struggled for consistency this season and are currently 14 points adrift of Portuguese league leaders Porto after suffering a surprise loss to struggling Setubal at the weekend.
Ricardo Sa Pinto's side have come a long way in the Europa League, however, having topped their group and then beaten Legia Warsaw in the last 32.
And City have been warned that they will pay the price if they have not done their homework ahead of the game.
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio said: "I don't care whether they know Sporting's players or not - they will get to know them tomorrow.
"We have no fear. It is 11 against 11 and anything can happen.
"We are very united and with grit and ambition I am sure we will be able to beat Manchester City."
