Ferrari and Red Bull F1 Testy

Ferrari and Red Bull have been forced to cancel their plans to run at Barcelona on Monday and will now be in action from Thursday to Sunday along with the rest of the teams cleared to test.

In a rather terse-sounding press release, the Italian team have announced that, due to a 'new clarification' of the Sporting Regulations, they have had to revert to the original schedule of running from Thursday through to Sunday.

The team had previously announced their intention was to run from Friday to Monday, extending the test in the company of Red Bull.

'A further change of plan for the final test session prior to departure for Australia,' read the Ferrari press release. 'Based on a new clarification of Article 22.4 of the Sporting Regulations, which was sent to the teams late yesterday evening, it is no longer possible to run on Monday 5 March: as a result, the test schedule for Scuderia Ferrari and the other teams that had originally decided to follow this option now reverts to that of the majority, running from Thursday 1 March to Sunday 4 March.

'The order in which our drivers will be working remains unchanged: Felipe Massa will be at the wheel of the F2012 on Thursday and Saturday, with Fernando Alonso driving on Friday and Sunday.'

Red Bull, the World Champions have followed suit and confirmed that they too will run from Thursday until Sunday, with Mark Webber in the cockpit on Thursday and Saturday and Sebastian Vettel on Friday and Sunday.
