Steve McClaren is Twente Again

Steve McClaren has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to return to management at former club FC Twente.

The ex-England manager spent two seasons in charge of the Dutch club, winning the Eredivisie title in 2009-10, before quitting to join Wolfsburg.

However, McClaren, 50, was sacked in February 2011 and moved to Nottingham Forest where he spent just 122 days in charge before resigning in October.

FC Twente sacked 64-year-old manager Co Adriaanse on Tuesday.

Adriaanse, who took charge last summer, left with FC Twente third in the league after losing their last three matches of 2011.
