The Tottenham squad has travelled to Spain for the first leg of the tie against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, a club that has won the trophy a record nine times.
For Spurs it must seems a million miles away from being 3-0 down in the first half of our play-off against Young Boys of Switzerland back in August.
But the team has gone from strength to strength in Europe's elite competition, beat reigning champions Inter Milan on the way to winning our group and then toppling AC Milan in the last 16.
"We've worked hard and as players, you've got to go through a lot to earn the right to play in a game like this," said first team coach Joe Jordan.
"We've played some tough matches this season and showed a lot of consistency last season to earn that right.
"We came through the early round and a tough qualification group.
"Maybe we were a bit naive in some of the games but great qualities in the team pulled us through, as well as great spirit, and we've beaten some big clubs.
"To now go and pit our wits against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu is top-drawer, a massive game for us all.
"As a player, it's a game you relish, at one of the biggest stadiums in the world against a club with fantastic tradition, especially in Europe.
"They are the team that has won the European Cup more than anyone else.
"But we have to play to our strengths. We respect the opposition but we won't approach it in a fearful way. Hopefully we can show the same composure we showed against AC Milan.
"It's also important to play. We have players who can pass the ball, keep the ball and create and when the opportunity arises you have to take the game to them."
